Investigation Continues After Light Aircraft Crash Near Pitsford

An investigation is continuing after a light aircraft crashed in Northamptonshire on Friday afternoon.

Two men were taken to hospital after the plane came down in a field near Pitsford, although police say their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has now begun enquiries to establish what caused the incident.

A spokesperson for the AAIB said: “On 5 June the AAIB was notified of an accident involving a light aircraft which occurred near Brixworth, Northamptonshire. An investigation has commenced and enquiries are being made to understand the circumstances which led to the accident.”
