Woman Ordered to Pay Compensation After Shop Thefts

A Market Harborough woman has been ordered to pay compensation after admitting a series of shop thefts from the town’s Co-op stores.
Louise Cunningham, 47, pleaded guilty to stealing laundry products worth a total of £190 during four separate incidents in April.
The thefts took place on April 18, 19, 21 and 22 at the Co-op stores on Coventry Road and Leicester Road.

Appearing before Leicester Magistrates’ Court, Cunningham, of Pear Tree Gardens, was ordered to repay the full value of the stolen items and was given a community order running until May 2027.
The sentence includes a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and up to 10 days of rehabilitation activity under the supervision of the Probation Service.
She received credit for her guilty pleas.
