Man Released on Bail After Shop Burglary in Market Harborough

A man arrested following a burglary at the Hotel Chocolat store in Market Harborough has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The 49-year-old was detained after boxes of chocolates were stolen from the High Street shop during the early hours of Friday.

Police said entry was gained by smashing a glass panel in a side door at around 2am.

There was also a break-in at nearby Pizzaman on Manor Walk an hour later, where a small amount of cash was taken.

Officers are continuing their enquiries and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
