A Leicestershire man is set to stand trial charged with the attempted murder of another man in Market Harborough.

Henry Gaskin, 20, is also accused of wounding with intent and two counts of possession of a knife in a public place, namely Gallow Field Road.

The charges relate to an incident on July 19th last year, when a man in his 20s arrived at Market Harborough Police Station with what officers described as a “stab wound injury.”

Gaskin, of Bodkin Row, Oakthorpe, denies all the charges.

He appeared at Leicester Crown Court on Tuesday, where a trial date was set for June 30.

The hearing is expected to last around two weeks.

He was remanded back into custody.
