Controversial plans to build 38 affordable homes on the edge of the Farndon Fields estate in Market Harborough are being recommended for approval.
Almost 100 objections have been submitted over the proposal for fields off Angell Drive, which border the Gracelands Park Home site, including citing concerns about traffic, flood risk and the loss of open space.

However, planning officers at Harborough District Council say the development would provide a substantial benefit in meeting general and affordable housing needs, supporting much-needed local social infrastructure.
Access to the new homes would be off Henry Drive and developer Owl Homes says they will be available for shared ownership and social rent.
Councillors will consider the application next week.
