Opposition Mounts At Plan To Convert Former Social Club

Plans to redevelop a former social club in Kibworth Beauchamp are facing growing opposition.
More than 25 objections have been submitted to Harborough District Council over proposals to convert the former Working Men’s Club on Fleckney Road into eight flats.
The majority of concerns are focused on parking and highway safety.

The planning application was lodged after the club closed last year and the building later sold at auction for £350,000.
HDC is expected to consider the plan within the next three months.
