Flood Alert No Longer In Force

A flood alert for the Welland Valley has been lifted as river levels fall and conditions continue to improve.

The Environment Agency says there is no longer a threat of flooding in the area of the River Welland and River J0rdan and no further flooding is expected.

However, it has warned that standing water may still be present in some places.

Flood warnings or alerts could remain in force for surrounding areas, and residents are being advised to continue to take care.

The Agency says it will keep monitoring the situation closely and will issue further alerts or warnings if conditions change.
