Appeal To Trace Absconded Prisoner With Harborough Links

Police are appealing for help to find a man with links to the Market Harborough area who is on-the-run from an open prison.
Darren O’Halloran, 40, was serving a 12-year sentence for burglary offences and absconded from HMP Leyhill in Gloucestershire last Wednesday.

He was jailed in 2023 for his involvement in more than 50 burglaries in the West Midlands, where jewellery and cash worth around £300,000 was stolen from homes.
O’Halloran also has links to Bitteswell near Lutterworth, Bristol, Birmingham and Limerick in Ireland.
He is described as white, approximately 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes. He speaks with an Irish accent.
Officers from Avon and Somerset Police and are urging anyone who sees him, or has information about his whereabouts, to come forward.
