HFM’s New Car Hits The Road Thanks To Community Support

HFM’s new radio car is now on the road, thanks to the incredible support of the local community.

Listeners and supporters donated over £10,000 to the fundraising appeal, with additional support from the Howard Watson Symington Memorial Charity, which provided a grant of £7,500 towards the cost of the new outreach vehicle.

The new car will be used to tow HFM’s mobile stage trailer to local events and replaces the station’s previous car, which had reached the end of its life.

HFM Director Chris Jones said: “Being able to get out and about in the community is a big part of HFM and we are so grateful to everyone who helped with the appeal.

“The support from the community has been incredible.

“We are also very grateful to the Howard Watson Symington Memorial Charity for the generous grant provided.”
