Appeal After Fatal Crash On A4304

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died and a woman suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash on the A4304 between Market Harborough and Lutterworth.

The collision happened on Lutterworth Road in Walcote at 10.40pm on Friday and involved a white Volkswagen Passat and white Nissan Qashqai.

The man driving the VW was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman driving the other car suffered injuries described by Police as ‘life-changing’ and is being treated in hospital.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “The Volkswagen was travelling from the direction of Kilworth towards Walcote and the Nissan was travelling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.

“If you were driving in the area around the time of the collision and witnessed the incident or saw either vehicle beforehand, we would like to speak to you.

“Also, if you have captured any footage on your vehicle’s video recording equipment please get in touch.”
