Work Starts To Remove Phone Mast
Written by HFM News on 30th September 2025
Work has started today to decommission a mobile phone mast in Market Harborough town centre.

Work is underway to remove equipment from the mast
Telecoms firm EE is removing its equipment from the site in the Friendship Park on Northampton Road, with the road closed to allow the use of a crane.
The 3G mast, owned by Harborough District Council, will then be taken down and a new art sculpture will be installed in its place.
Northampton Road is closed to traffic between The Square and Springfield Street until 3pm while the work takes place, although there is still access to the Market Hall car park from the town centre direction.

EE erected a new 5G mast further along Northampton Road, at the Welland Park Road junction, in April.
