Appeal After Van Driver Seriously Injured

Police are appealing for witnesses after a van driver was seriously injured in a crash on the A14 near Welford yesterday.

The collision on the eastbound carriageway involved a silver Mercedes Sprinter van and a white Scania lorry and happened just after 9am, between the M1/M6 junction at Catthorpe and junction 1

The driver of the van – a man aged in his 20s – was taken to the University Hospital Coventry by air ambulance with serious injuries.

Detectives from Northamptonshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage that captured any part of the collision.
