Driver Injured In A14 Crash

A woman was taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and lorry on the A14 near Rothwell at lunchtime.

Emergency services were called to the stretch of road between junctions 5 and 4 just after 12.15pm.

Police say the woman, who was driving the car, was taken to Kettering General Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The crash resulted in one lane of the carriageway being closed which resulted in lengthy tailbacks.

The road was completely re-opened by 3pm.
