Market Harborough tip has re-opened after a huge swarm of bees forced its closure this morning.

The Recycling and Household Waste Site on Riverside was shut as a precaution after staff spotted thousands of bees settled across an area close to parking bays.

Leicestershire County Council alerted a bee keeper, but the swarm took off before they arrived and the site was then deemed safe for members of the public to use again.
