Top Awards For Inspirational Sports Entrepreneur

An inspirational sports entrepreneur from the Harborough district is celebrating winning two top accolades.

Laura Till was crowned Businesswoman Of The Year and picked up the Community Business of the Year title at the SME Leicestershire and Rutland Business Awards.

The 24-year-old, from Kimcote near Lutterworth, was inspired to set-up Ambition Sports Coaching in 2021 after a near death experience in a car crash left her with life-changing injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In October 2019, facing the daunting reality of life’s fragility, Laura, having been hit by a lorry and spun across all four lanes of the M1, decided to channel her newfound perspective into something positive.

Based in Fleckney, Laura’s company has gone onto develop a strong reputation for delivering quality sports coaching and academic mentoring, and its coaches and tutors now visit schools across England.

Her passion for empowering and promoting sports and wellbeing among young people was recognised by judges and Laura will now represent the county at a national final later this year.
