E-Bikes Seized As Police Tackle illegal Use

Police seized two e-bikes during an operation targeting people using them illegally in Market Harborough town centre.

The action earlier today followed continued complaints about them being ridden dangerously by delivery workers.

Officers found the bikes had been adapted to travel at higher speeds than permitted, with neither having chains linking the pedals to the back wheels.

The riders will also be dealt with for road traffic offences.
