Scouting Community To Parade For St George’s Day

The Scouting community will parade through Market Harborough tomorrow to mark St George’s Day.

Over 500 youngsters and leaders will be taking part in the event, which will see them passing through the town centre en-route to Little Bowden.

Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Squirrels from across the district will join the band-led parade to honour St George – the patron saint of Scouting.

It will begin at 1.45pm from Symington Way and travel along Roman Way, Church Square, High Street, St Mary’s Road and Kettering Road, before finishing in Rectory Lane in Little Bowden at around 2.30pm.

There will be a rolling road closure in place to allow the parade to pass safely.
