Opposition is mounting against plans for a new housing estate on the edge of Fleckney.
Over 50 people have raised concerns within a week of a planning application being submitted to build 170 homes on 11 acres of land off Leicester Road.

Land off Leicester Road has been earmarked for the new homes
Concerns raised include the impact on traffic in the area, village infrastructure like the primary school and GP surgery not being able to cope with the influx of new residents and fears of an increased risk to flooding.
The objections have been raised with Harborough District Council, which is currently consulting on the plan ahead of a decision being made on it.
