Fox Released After Recovery In Kibworth

A fox found impaled on a metal fence has been released back into the wild after being nursed back to health at Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital.

The Kibworth-based charity raised over £900 to pay for vet bills and fund the animal’s care after a large spike went through the muscle of his back leg.

The fox was released in a park close to where the incident happened in Leicester after spending six weeks in the care of the hospital.

The charity has thanked everyone who supported the fundraising, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service for helping rescue the animal, and Oadby Vets for Pets for the treatment it provided.

Amy Ducker from the wildlife hospital spoke to HFM:

The fox made a full recovery & has now been released back into the wild
