Post Box Topper Salutes Jemma’s Walking Quest

A proud Harborough mum who ‘loves to knit’ has handcrafted a colourful creation to celebrate one year of her daughter’s ‘Women Only Walks’ group – and to highlight her five year, 5,000 mile trek raising cash for the MS Society.

Now often accompanied by other local women, Jemma Redden is less than 500 miles away from completing her epic walk.

Mum Tina Crowston decided to promote her daughter’s efforts by creating a personalised postbox topper – which was unveiled for International Women’s Day.

The ‘topper’ can be seen on the pillar box at the corner of Scotland Road with Rectory Lane in Little Bowden.

Jemma, who has been diagnosed with MS herself, told HFM she is very touched by the gesture as her big fundraiser enters its final stages:
