HFM Celebrates 18th Birthday!

HFM is celebrating 18 years of full-time broadcasting today.

The milestone comes after the radio station launched with a live broadcast from The Square in Market Harborough at 11am on February 10th 2007, following a number of short-term broadcasts.

HFM is staffed almost entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers and continues to be at the heart of the community, thanks to those on-air and behind-the-scenes, businesses who sponsor and advertise, the thousands of listeners who tune-in everyday and all those who support the station’s fundraising events and activities.

Harborough MP Neil O’Brien and Cllr Phil Knowles, Leader of Harborough District Council have both praised HFM for the service it provides to the community:
