Former rugby league star Kevin Sinfield has raised over £1m after completing his latest fundraising quest in memory of friend Rob Burrow.
He was cheered on through the HFM region on Friday as he ran 230 miles in seven days for Motor Neurone Disease charities, covering all four corners of the United Kingdom.

The former Leeds Rhinos and England star completed the final leg of the challenge near his home in Greater Manchester on Saturday, smashing his original fundraising target.
Sinfield defied a serious muscle injury picked up in November to complete his ‘7-in7 Running Home for Christmas’ challenge.
The 44-year-old said: “It put the whole thing in jeopardy, but now I have a lot of back pain and hip stuff.
“But there is a difference between being injured and being in pain. It was really demanding and really tough.
“Some days we were on our feet for nine hours. But we got through it. It was great to finish back home.”
