Rail Disruption Set To Continue Until This Afternoon

Rail services from Market Harborough are being severely disrupted due to a signalling system fault.
East Midlands Railway is unable to run any trains through the Loughborough area in either direction, meaning a number of services have been cancelled.
Services between London St Pancras and Sheffield are running and will additionally call at Market Harborough.

The problem is set to impact services until this afternoon.
An EMR spokesperson said: “Network Rail are currently investigating and are attempting to fix the problem.
“They estimate that the line may re-open around 10:30am, however we do not estimate our trains to start running again at approximately 1pm due to train crew and train units being out of place.
“Our normal timetable is expected to run from around 3pm.”
