Harborough Town Unveil Stadium Upgrade Plans
Written by HFM News on 12th August 2024
Harborough Town have unveiled plans to upgrade their stadium as the club begins life in the seventh tier of the football pyramid.
A new 154-seater covered stand is proposed for the Community Football Ground, together with a new directors’ room, toilet block, extra turnstiles and new emergency exit gates.
Some of the improvements are mandatory requirements set by the Football Association’s Ground Grading system, following the club’s promotion to the Southern League Premier Central and need to be carried out by March next year.
A planning application for the work has been submitted to Harborough District Council.
Siobhan Brewin, chair of trustees at Harborough Town, told HFM the club will receive a grant to help pay for the improvements and the need for the work is testament to how the club has progressed in recent years:

Existing stands will be re-sited as part of the work if the plan is approved.
The club has also secured additional car parking thanks to support from companies based at the near-by Compass Point Business Park off Northampton Road, who have agreed for their car parks to be used outside of business hours.
