Firefighters Tackle Garden Blaze In Market Harborough

A fire destroyed sheds and fencing in two gardens in Market Harborough on Saturday afternoon.

Three fire crews were called to deal with the blaze on Welland Park Road just after 1.15pm, which was first reported as a hedge alight.

Firefighters from Market Harborough, Kibworth and Wigston tackled the fire and remained at the scene for over two hours.

A crew then returned yesterday to carry out checks with a thermal imaging camera, to ensure there were no remaining hotspots.

No-one was hurt and an investigation has been unable to determine how the fire started.
