Airfield Farm Expansion Plans Approved

Plans to carry on expanding a large commercial and retail area on the outskirts of Market Harborough have been approved.
The application for eleven business units and two drive-thru food and drink units at Airfield Business Park on the B6047 was rubber stamped by Leicestershire County Council’s Development control and regulatory board on Thursday (11th July).
A Costa Coffee has already been confirmed for one of the new drive-thru units – whilst one of the new commercial units is set to be leased to Bramble Foods; a fine foods manufacturer and distributor employing more than 150 people in Market Harborough.
The County Council has promised its development will continue to be built with ‘sustainability’ in mind – including solar panels, electric car charging points and the use of ‘best practice’ construction methods.
The approved extension will cost around £16 million.
