Chamber Elects New President

Following his recent election, the new President of Market Harborough Chamber of Trade and Commerce has been outlining his aims and objectives in the new role to HFM.
Dr Gareth Thomas (pictured), who was previously Vice President, says he’d like to build on his work over the past two years forging better links for the town’s businesses with universities and further education colleges.
He’d also like to see the Chamber doing more lobbying of MPs and government departments for changes to legislation and regulatory arrangements which are currently a barrier to local businesses thriving and growing.
And Dr Thomas also hopes to stop talented young people leaving Market Harborough to study and find a job elsewhere… in some cases only returning here when they retire!
