New Drive-Thrus for Harborough?

Plans to build two new ‘drive thrus’ on the outskirts of Market Harborough are being recommended for the go-ahead this week.

If approved, Costa Coffee will open in one of the units, while a search continues to find an occupier for the other.

The development is part of a proposed 16-million pound extension to Airfield Business Park – off the B6047 Harborough Road – which also includes a large industrial building.

Leicestershire County Council is behind the plan and says it has the potential to create around 250 jobs during the construction phase and when the new buildings are occupied.

Its Development Control committee will consider the planning application tomorrow (Thursday 11th July).
