Boy Detained After Member Of Staff Assaulted By Pupil

A boy was detained after a member of staff was assaulted by a pupil at Lutterworth High School earlier today.

The school on Woodway Road was placed into lockdown following the incident at lunchtime.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “Police were called to the school just before 1pm following a report a member of staff had been assaulted by a pupil.

“Officers attended and detained a boy, who is assisting officers with their enquiries.

“No other people were injured during the incident.

“An investigation into the incident is continuing.”
