Solar Farm Plan For Fields Near Lubenham

Plans have been revealed to create a solar farm on fields near Lubenham to generate electricity to be fed into the national grid.

Hundreds of solar panels would be installed across 56 acres of land off Foxton Road if the proposal progresses.

Areas surrounding and in between the panels will be used for landscaping, biodiversity enhancements and access tracks, according to a document submitted to Harborough District Council.

If the solar farm is built, it is envisaged it would have an operational lifetime of around 40 years.
