Tributes are being paid to a Market Harborough Dad who prepared a crowdfunding appeal to support his daughters in the weeks before he died.

Mark Paul passed away earlier this month aged 49, following a three-year battle with blood cancer.

He was a single parent to 20-year-old Ava and 16-year-old Flo and despite becoming very ill set-up the on-line appeal, writing on the page about wanting to ensure life for them was as comfortable as possible when he was gone.

Part of what Mark wrote reads: “I’d like them to be a little more comfortable and hope for Ava to finish her final year at Uni and for Flo to go to Uni too.

“But to do that they need a stable roof over their heads and to not have to worry too much about paying the bills.

“This is why I’ve turned to you, to ask for some help, to lean on you a little and see if you may help my girls in some way to make up a little for losing their Dad”.

Ava discovered the page and shared it on social media so people could see what her Dad had written and in a week it has received donations totalling over £12,000.

Mark, who ran his own graphic design business Little Gem Creative, has been described by his daughters as a selfless, wonderful loving Dad who will be greatly missed.
