Power Cut In Town Centre For Second Time In Two Days

There is a power cut in parts of Market Harborough town centre for the second time in two days.

The electricity went off just after 7.45am today with 69 properties affected in the High Street and Coventry Road areas, including shops and businesses.

National Grid says there is a fault on an underground network and engineers are being dispatched to investigate and fix the problem, but it could be 4pm before supplies are restored.

The outage comes after power went off for two hours on Wednesday morning, with an underground cable fault blamed.
