Man Charged After Serious Assault

A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident in Rothwell.

Police were called to reports of an assault taking place at a bar in Bell Hill at around 11.45pm on Friday, when a 38-year-old man sustained serious neck injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information regarding it to contact them.

A man aged in his 30s from Rothwell, has been charged with GBH with intent and being in possession of cocaine in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
