Firefighters rescued a man who was trapped in an overturned car following a crash on the A14 near Welford this morning.
Five vehicles were involved in the collision on the westbound carriageway near junction one just before 7.30am, which led to lengthy tailbacks.

Long queues formed following the collision
Police say it’s believed no-one was seriously injured in the collision, which resulted in one lane of the carriageway being closed and the eastbound carrigeway also reduced to one lane for a time, to allow emergency services access.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service told HFM: “A crew from Daventry attended the incident and helped Northamptonshire Police in making the scene safe.
“They also used equipment to help rescue a man from one of the vehicles, which was on its roof.
“The man was left in the care of paramedics, and fire left the scene in the hands of Northamptonshire Police.”
