All Set For Harborough’s Christmas Lights Switch-On

There will be plenty of festive fun for the whole family in Market Harborough town centre later as the Christmas Lights switch-on event takes place.
Hosted by HFM, it will get underway at 5pm and include stilt walkers, fire breathers and jugglers entertaining crowds in the run-up to the switch being flicked at 7pm.

There will also be a performance by a choir, aswell as appearances from a panto dame and Santa.
Harborough District Council is organising it and leader, councillor Phil Knowles is encouraging people to go along:
The event coincides with a Winter Food and Drink Festival which continues on The Square today and tomorrow.
Roads in the town centre by The Square will be closed between 4pm and 9pm today, while the switch-on event takes place.
