Arrests After Drugs Raids In Market Harborough

Police have seized a large amount of suspected illegal drugs and cash after raiding a property in Market Harborough.
Two men aged 47 and 73 were also arrested after officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, as part of action to target County Lines dealers.
A large quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs were seized, along with over £5,000.
Raids were carried out in Market Harborough & Broughton Astley
The raid was carried out at an undisclosed location in the town and further warrants were then executed at another address in Market Harborough and a property in Broughton Astley.
County Lines is the name given to drug dealing where organised criminal groups from cities exploit young people and vulnerable people from smaller towns and rural areas into moving and supplying drugs.
Sergeant Pete Jelbert told HFM the raids followed information passed to officers and intelligence gathered in recent weeks:
The two men arrested have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
