As the host of The Groove Lounge (alternate Saturdays, 7 pm – 10 pm), Sam provides the ultimate weekend soundtrack. His show is a hand-picked celebration of Disco, Funk, Soul, Motown and everything feel-good, punctuated by heartwarming “Good Vibes” and global curiosities in his “What in the World” segment.

A Life in Music

Sam’s “buzz” for radio began in the amateur radio scene of the early 2000s, but his expertise extends far beyond the studio faders. He is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound engineer who has spent years as a session musician and solo artist. His professional resume includes work with chart-topping acts such as The Adventures of Stevie V and Shiva. This deep musical background also fuels his passion for his late-night sessions, where he shares the best music for your Saturday night.

When he isn’t curated playlists or tracking instruments, Sam balances his creative energy with quieter pursuits. He is an avid reader, a keen cook who loves experimenting with new recipes, and a dedicated crafter. To Sam, the station is an “extended family,” and he brings that same warmth to every broadcast.
