Driver Arrested After Fatal Crash On A427

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after Sunday’s fatal crash on the A427 in Brampton Ash.
His passenger, a woman aged in her 20s, died when the black 52-plate Mini Cooper left the road and went down an embankment, before colliding with a fence and coming to rest in a field.
Police say the 30-year-old man from Kettering was also arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit of alcohol and drugs and driving while disqualified.
He suffered minor injuries in the incident and remains in custody.
The crash happened near to the junction with Hermitage Road
The woman from Kettering was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at around 10.30pm on Harborough Road, near to the junction with Hermitage Road,
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and particularly want to hear from anyone who saw the car before the collision, as it travelled from Corby towards Market Harborough, or who has dashcam footage.
