Family-Run Care Home In Braybrooke To Close

A family-run care home in Braybrooke is to close after serving the community for nearly 30 years.
Owners of Brookside Care Home have described the decision to shut as ‘heartbreaking’ and blame the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the healthcare industry for the decision, along with being unable to compete with new larger purpose-built care homes opening locally.

Nine residents at the home are being re-located to other care facilities, while 21 dedicated members of staff are being made redundant.
Brookside has been a popular part of the village community since it was opened by the Clarke family in 1995 and families of residents moving out have sent thank you cards to staff, in recognition of the care they provided.
