Rail users in Market Harborough have voiced concerns at plans to close the ticket office at Market Harborough Railway Station.
It is one of over 1,000 nationwide earmarked to be shut, with worries it will put disabled, older and vulnerable people off rail travel.
These passengers spoke to HFM:

The ticket office could close permanently Pic HFM
East Midlands Railway says if the office shuts staff will be redeployed to platforms to assist passengers in buying tickets from self-service machines.
A public consultation into the proposal is running for the next 13 days.
Phil King, county councillor for Market Harborough and Foxton, has concerns about the plan and says people should make their views known:
The ticket office is currently open between 6am and 7pm Monday to Saturday and from 8.30am until 7.30pm on Sundays.
EMR say staff will remain at the station ‘for most trains’ if the closure goes ahead, with those working in the office transitioning to multi-skilled ‘customer help’ roles, where they would be better able to give advice about the best and cheapest fares, support customers with accessibility needs and to help passengers board and alight from trains.
