A6 Desborough Bypass Re-Opens But Will Close Again This Weekend

A stretch of the A6 Desborough bypass has re-opened after a three-day closure – but will have to shut again this weekend.

Repairs to a failing road surface over a railway bridge are taking longer than expected, meaning the section between the B576 and Braybrooke Road roundabouts will have to close to traffic for a further two days.

Northamptonshire Highways stress the structure is safe in the meantime and temporary traffic lights by the works are are due to be removed this afternoon.

The section of road will be closed again from 9.30am on Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon/evening to allow the repairs to be completed.
