Medical Centre Expansion Plan Moves Forward

The start of work to expand Market Harborough Medical Centre is getting closer after plans were announced to carry out it out in three phases.

Six new treatment and consulting rooms will be created first, along with a new pharmacy, before the two-storey extension enables extra office space and a further three consulting rooms.

The work is needed so the Coventry Road surgery can better cope with increasing patient numbers.

Planning permission for the extension was granted by Harborough District Council last year and now a detailed application for the phasing of the work has been submitted.

No timescales for when work is likely to begin have yet been released.
