Technical Fault Hits Police Non-Emergency 101 Number

Leicestershire Police is urging people to report non-emergencies on-line due to a technical fault with the 101 phone number.
The force is also urging people to only use 999 in an emergency and in a tweet said: “Please can you be mindful that we are experiencing some issues with our phone lines.
“Remember to utilise our other reporting platforms via email or social media and only use 999 if your call is an emergency.”
Northamptonshire Police also had issues with its 101 non-emergency number earlier today, but says they have now been resolved.
