Leicestershire based Blue Light Card Foundation launched

A new, Leicestershire-based foundation has been launched which hopes
to help and support ‘blue light’ workers – such as those in the NHS,
social care, emergency services and the military.

‘The Blue Light Card’ says its research found 90% of the Blue Light
community has reported that their job has negatively impacted their
wellbeing – whilst 62% have considered leaving their post because of how
much it impacts their day-to-day wellbeing.

Its survey also revealed less than half of respondents felt they could
leave the challenges of work ‘at the door’ when they ended their shift.

The ‘Blue Light Card Foundation’ now hopes to bridge this gap. You can
