Work to begin on Naseby Square this week

Work begins this week ahead of the major redevelopment of an elderly people’s housing site in Market Harborough.Four damaged trees are to be felled and utilities disconnected from bungalows which will be demolished, as part of the scheme to build 38 new affordable homes at Naseby Square on the southern estate.Housing Association ‘Platform’ is behind the £6m project and says full building works will get underway within the next couple of months.The scheme proved controversial when it was first announced – with over 800 people signing a petition against it.

However, Platform says it will lead to much-needed affordable housing being created in the town.
