Five Firms Express Interest In Running Harborough’s Leisure Centres

Five companies have expressed interest in running Harborough’s Leisure Centres from next year.

The District Council is inviting bids for a 15-year contract worth £24m and has held initial talks with the firms, as a procurement process continues.

Once awarded, the new contract will pave the way for improvements at Harborough Leisure Centre worth around £8.5m and upgrades at Lutterworth Sports Centre totalling £1m.

The successful bidder will also work with the council to facilitate sport and physical activity in the community.
