Heating At Harborough Market To Be Upgraded
Written by HFM News on 8th February 2023
The heating at Harborough Market is set to be upgraded at a cost of around £145,000.
The system in the Food Hall failed last month and Harborough District Council also wants to improve heating in the main hall of the building on Northampton Road.
A council spokesperson told HFM: “In January, the heating system in the Harborough Market food hall failed and is beyond economical repair.
“We are working with suppliers to investigate different solutions along with upgrading the system in the main hall to improve efficiency and allow the market management team more flexibility to control temperatures.”
The costs of the work have been incorporated into a request for funding through the Council’s Capital Programme for next financial year (2023/24), which is set to be approved at a meeting later this month.
