School’s Christmas Jumper Day Boosts Harborough’s Jubilee Food Bank

Pupils at Little Bowden Primary School have donated dozens of items to Market Harborough’s Jubilee Foodbank.
A Christmas Jumper Day was held yesterday and youngsters brought in food instead of making monetary donations, after the School Council suggested the idea.

The bagfuls of donations will help the charity provide help to people in need over the festive period.
A spokesperson for Little Bowden Primary School said: “The amount of food collected in just a couple of hours was absolutely amazing and the children really deserve a massive congratulations for organising the drive.”
The food bank is thanking the school for its support and parents are also being praised for the way they backed the initiative.
