Harborough’s School Leaders Express Serious Concern Over Children ‘Vaping’

Harborough’s school leaders have expressed serious concern about the number of children ‘vaping’.

Despite it being illegal to sell vaping products to any under 18, they say there is widespread use of vapes and e-cigarettes by young people locally.

There is also a worry about the increasing availability of vape pens, which contain an illegal phycoactive substance, with reports of children becoming unwell and needing medical treatment after using them.

An open letter (below) has been sent to parents today, endorsed by schools including Robert Smyth Academy and Welland Park Academy in Market Harborough, Kibworth Mead Academy, Lutterworth High School and Lutterworth College
