Appeal After Driver Seriously Injured In Crash On A14

Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver was seriously injured in a crash on the A14 near Welford on Monday afternoon.
The man, aged in his 40s, was driving a VW Polo which was involved in collision with a Ford Transit, on the eastbound carriageway near junction one at about 3.45pm.
He was taken to University Hospital Coventry for treatment.
Officers also want anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.

The crash led to the closure of the eastbound carriageway for over five hours, with many drivers stuck in long queues immediately behind the scene of the crash.
